June's Fourth Friday in Fort Mill was a smashing success, thanks
to the support of our community. Hundreds of visitors to Main Street that evening were met with
a scene reminiscent of the Montmartre area of Paris, France. Local artists endured
the heat, donning French berets and painting at their easels. French music greeted
pedestrians as they moved from one business to another.
The Fort Mill Art Guild owes a debt of gratitude to all the local media who helped
bring this event to the attention of the public. Both Toya Graham of the Fort Mill Times
and Karen Janick of the Charlotte Observer featured articles in their respective
newspapers. The Herald gave attention to the event in their weekend activities section.
We encourage everyone to support our local newspapers who work so hard to keep us informed
of news in our community.
