Welcome
The Fort Mill Art Guild will not be renewing its lease at 213 Main Street in 2010
due to the current economic climate. We are exploring partnerships and alliances
with other arts organizations and businesses that will allow us to fulfill our
educational mission as a 501(c)(3) corporation.
We are extremely grateful to the entire community for its support of and
participation in our programs this year. We would like to mention the following
people for their extraordinary efforts on our behalf:
- The City Council of Fort Mill (particularly Mayor Danny Funderburk and
City Manager David Hudspeth) for their bold and progressive move to subsidize the guild
- Jim Buike, Jim Harper and the Arts Council of York County for their generous
financial contributions and support
- Virginia Dauth for the donation of her professional services as Gallery Director,
and as tireless volunteer laborer
- Rick Austin & Tom Cassen for their pro bono work as instructors
- The staffs of our local print media: The Fort Mill Times,
The Herald, Charlotte Observer,
Lake Wylie Pilot and YC Magazine, and particularly Michael Harrison and Toya Graham
of The Fort Mill Times for their unwavering support in providing media coverage of our programs
- Our Guild members who paid their dues and volunteered their time
We will keep you apprised of our progress in continuing our mission
via our website.
